Innovate. Expand. Transform.
The rapid pace of change in IT puts us all under pressure to become more agile and responsive.
Cloud computing and cloud constructs give us the ability to keep up. Cloud is now the powerhouse behind business innovation – it allows us to try new things, to quickly realise success, or in the case of failure – to revise, refine and try again.
Business innovators are using cloud to rapidly move into new industries, transform customer experiences and deepen levels of engagement, implement business process changes and build new business models.
Embracing the cloud
While some of our clients are just starting their cloud journey, others are already fully immersed.
Fusion5 follow industry-proven methodologies to actively manage and migrate the cloud workload for large customers moving to cloud solutions such as Amazon Web Services (AWS). We use the same successful methodologies for all cloud migrations. While we are an AWS partner, we happily work with a range of leading cloud solutions, and we’re workload agnostic.
We build highly available and disaster recoverable solutions in the cloud to your specific business needs. Our customers include V/Line (Australia's largest regional public transport operator), News Corporation Australia, and Oil Search (Papua New Guinea’s largest oil and gas exploration and development company). And the list keeps growing.
A quick guide to cloud solutions
Ready to embrace complete SaaS or just to dip your toes into IaaS? Do you know where to start?
Saas (Software as a Service): Your applications are hosted on the internet by a 3rd-party provider. There’s no need to install and run any software on your own computers/data centres, so you eliminate the expense of acquiring hardware, and its provisioning and maintenance, as well as software licensing, installation and support. This model of software distribution is highly scalable.
PaaS (Platform as a Service): Your applications, and the hardware and software tools you need for application development are delivered over the internet. There’s no need to install in-house hardware and software to develop or run a new application. PaaS platforms are generally geared toward software development.
IaaS (Infrastructure as a Service): Delivering virtualised computing resources over the internet, including hardware, software, servers, storage and other infrastructure components. IaaS also hosts your applications, and handles tasks like backup, system maintenance, and resiliency planning. Highly scalable with on-demand resources, IaaS is ideal for workloads that are temporary, experimental or prone to change.
Public and Private cloud: Public cloud delivers services to multiple organisations, offering users scalability and self-service. Think it’s not secure enough for you? One of the big 5 banks in Australia have an APRA regulated production workload running in public cloud. Private cloud provides you with the same advantages as public, but is dedicated to your organisation through a proprietary architecture.
